Saving Chatham’s Waters
Date: April 23, 2025
Time: 10 am to 11:30 am
Meeting Place: Chatham Orpheum
As part of Earth Week in Chatham, FCW is hosting a short film event, featuring a showing of the WHOI videos, Saving Our Ponds, which will be followed by a panel discussion with Kristin Andres, Association to Preserve Cape Cod, Susan Bauer, Old Ladies Against Underwater Garbage, Renee Gagne, Chatham Shellfish Constable, and Rob Faley, Chatham DPW Director. Natalie Coleman-Fuller, Friends of Chatham Waterways board member, will be the moderator.
The event is free. FCW will be officially launching its water pledge program here, so come learn what it’s all about, and take the pledge!

Coastsweep
Date: September 21, 2024
Friends of Chatham Waterways (FCW) Coastsweep beach cleanup is held annually in mid September in conjunction with the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM) and the Ocean Conservancy. Volunteers collect trash from one of 15 shoreline sites in Chatham and record their findings on Ocean Conservancy data cards.
