Overview:

Friends of Chatham Waterways (FCW) offers an internship opportunity

for college students who are studying environmental issues and have an interest in Cape Cod. This internship provides a unique chance to contribute to environmental conservation efforts in Chatham and the surrounding areas while learning about the operations of local civil society organizations. This internship is designed to enable you to pursue some of your specific interests while contributing to the mission of FCW. As an intern, you will work closely with board members to support various projects to preserve and enhance the local waterways. Your responsibilities may include conducting and reporting on water quality assessments, managing social media, assisting with educational outreach programs, and researching pertinent environmental issues and sustainable practices.

Former interns have managed social media, contributed to various

campaigns, attended events/fairs, and expanded FCW’s network. Interns handle different tasks based on their skills and interests while aligning with FCW’s mission. This is a special opportunity to be actively involved in the operations of a nonprofit dedicated to environmental conservation.

Join us in our mission to protect Chatham’s natural resources for future generations while gaining practical experience in environmental stewardship
